Reed MIDEM and its employees believe in acting responsibly in our work environment. Our events serve as forums to help companies worldwide to exchange innovative ideas and find achievable environmental-friendly solutions in their business. We believe that by working together, we can positively contribute to a sustainable future for individual businesses, global industries and the entire world.
Our print communications use 100% recycled paper or a mix of recycled paper and paper sourced from sustainable forests.
Palais des Festivals in Cannes
The Palais des Festivals – the hub of our trade shows in Cannes – has obtained certification for the quality of its management systems, health and safety, and the environmental standard ISO 14001. The latter recognises the systems put in place to reduce the impact of our tradeshows on the air, water, ground and natural resources. The Palais des Festivals is the first conference centre in Europe to obtain triple certification in these areas.
New HQE building
Reed MIDEM’s Paris headquarters has HQE certification, due to its compliance to French High Quality Environmental standards for energy, water consumption and overall environmental impact.
Charitable activities : surplus show bags and IT equipment
Surplus show bags
In the past two years, almost 3,000 surplus show bags – provided to participants at our events – have been donated to charities in Senegal, Burkina Faso and Morocco, where they provide deprived school children with satchels for school books and materials.
As part of its annual IT equipment replacement programme, Reed MIDEM donates used screens, keyboards, hard drives and servers to the Close the Gap charity. This non-profit organisation collects, reconditions and distributes this equipment to developing countries, to help close the IT equipment gap between more developed countries and those who cannot afford to purchase new equipment.
