  • 1963 : MIDEM Organisation is founded by Bernard Chevry. MIPTV is launched in Lyon.
  • 1965: MIPTV is moved to Cannes.
  • 1967: MIDEM is launched.
  • 1985: MIPCOM is launched.
  • 1988: Xavier Roy succeeds Bernard Chevry as CEO.
  • 1989 : MIDEM Organisation joins forces with Reed Exhibitions(RX), a subsidiary of Reed Elsevier, one of the world’s largest communication groups, and becomes Reed MIDEM.

  • 1990: MIPIM is launched.
  • 1993: MIPCOM JUNIOR is launched.
  • 1994: MAPIC and MILIA are launched.
  • 1998: MIPDOC is launched.
  • 2003: Paul Zilk succeeds Xavier Roy as CEO.
  • 2005: GLOBAL CITY is launched.
  • 2006: MIPIM ASIA is launched.
  • 2008: MIPIM HORIZON is launched.
  • 2011: Connected Creativity is launched.
