Gilles Saint Georges Chaumet, after graduating from ISG, Paris and Cogswell College, San Francisco, began his career as associated expert at the Food & Agriculture Organization of The United Nations (FAO) in central america.
In 1985, Gilles joined SEPIC, a subsidiary of CEP Communication Group, one of the major French trade shows organizers. As sales director, he launched several new shows in the public works equipment, building materials, deep-sea fishing industry, etc.
In 1990 he was appointed regional managing director at SHR , leading French institutional catering company. And followed as consultant in vocational training at Institut Français de Gestion, Paris.
From 1995 and until joining Reed Midem in 2005, he was successively deputy managing director of Intermat, 1st trade show in the world for the Public works equipment, managing director of Sitevi Mercosur, leading exhibition in south America for the wine industry. Finally, Gilles, as International director of Sial, was in charge of launching new trade shows dedicated to the food and beverage industry in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Singapore and China.
Late 2005, Gilles was appointed Mipim Asia director, the new world’s property market created by Reed Midem in September 2006 in Hong Kong.
