Thierry Renault was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Reed MIDEM in 2002. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Thierry continues to head Reed MIDEM’s Real Estate Division.

After graduating from EDC France in 1973, Thierry started working for a subsidiary of the Parisbas Group: CGIB (Banque pour la Construction et l’Equipement). Up until 1989, he worked in different positions that enabled him to acquire a solid knowledge of the real estate sector and, more specifically, of professional finance.

In 1989, Thierry Renault joined Reed MIDEM and initiated MIPIM – the world’s property market – which, within a few years, became the most important international meeting place for real estate professionals. Then, in 1995, Thierry launched MAPIC - the international market for retail real estate. Such was its success that, today, it is a leading market, offering the most diversified and important range of premises and opportunities for international commercial development.

More recently, since 2004, Thierry has been in charge of the launch of a new show: GLOBAL CITY, the international forum for urban decision-makers.
