1982 - Inauguration of the new Palais des Festivals in Cannes, providing more space for MIPTV and MIDEM
1985 - 1st MIPCOM
1988 - Xavier Roy takes over from Bernard Chevry as Chief Executive of the company
1989 - Reed Exhibitions acquires the company and changes the name to Reed MIDEM
1990 - Extension of the portfolio into the real estate sector with the launch of MIPIM
1993 - 1st MIPJunior

2003 - Paul Zilk replaces Xavier Roy as Chief Executive of Reed MIDEM
2006 - 1st MIPIM Asia in Hong Kong
